This is an important issue that needs to have a light shined on it. Far too often our veterans seem to have survived battle, from Revolutionary War up to the 1990s, only to silently suffer. We thought those might have \\\”Shell Shock\\\”, but really it was much more and general public wasn\\\’t made aware of it until the 1990s. Why I am so grateful to Leigh for tirelessly working to be an ambassador of PTDS for those veterans who might not even realize they have it or those who have visibly their lives ruined by the affects of PTSD. My Godfather, Namesake, Great Uncle was awarded the Purple Heart; and several other combat awards; for his service in Vietnam. He unknowingly suffered for decades and unable to sleep at night, literally sleep with eyes open, while showing all signs of PTSD but it wasn\\\’t recognized as the issue we now realize it is. My friend, Zac Adams, has won several acclaimed awards for his documentary, IRON WILL (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3846736/), that focuses on veterans with PTSD and how devastating it is on them and their families. As a society and a nation, it seems we are just now becoming award of the affects of PTSD that are often unknown to the veterans themselves until it is too late. Leigh Kentof\\\’s work is much needed and been a long time coming. Several friends and families have suffered from PTSD often unbeknownst to themselves and their loved ones until it is too late. Andy\\\’s L.A.W. is inspirational on showing the love of a sibling, sister to her brother and the respect of a veteran\\\’s sacrifice to a nation.
